WE DEVELOP FULL-HEARTED COACHES WHO PREPARE YOUNG PEOPLE FOR LIFE
SHIFT SPORT CULTURE
THE POWER OF SPORTS
Sports shape people. The intensity of the game and the camaraderie of the team, the training and the striving, the bright lights and the riveting competition, it’s intoxicating.
For many athletes, their coach is one of the most influential people in their lives. Coaches can build them up or tear them down. They can instill confidence or breed shame. Coaches have a meaningful platform to shape the hearts and minds of young people. We want to leverage the power of sports to help youth thrive on and off the field.
PEOPLE > PERFORMANCE
Our core programs ensure that coaches use athletics to teach every kid that they belong and matter for who they are, not how they perform. We provide training and community that equips and inspires coaches to be better leaders and positive mentors for their players.
YOUTH PREPARED FOR LIFE
We believe that youth athletics provides the most strategic opportunity to help young people be mentally and emotionally prepared for life.
SHIFTING ATHLETIC CULTURE
We are athletes and we are coaches. We’ve experienced the power of a healthy, inspiring coach and the damage of an unhealthy, toxic coach. We’ve spent years developing a curriculum focused on emotional and social development that prepares coaches for success beyond the scoreboard. We are committed to creating an athletic community that changes lives.
COACHES MAKING AN IMPACT
-PATRICE ELDER, ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, OAK HILL SCHOOL
“I have reflected back on what I have learned at the Academy almost daily. What we learned there together has made me a better coach, but has also made me a better husband and father.”
-STETSON DICKERSON, HEAD COACH, WHITE HOUSE HERITAGE
–CATHRYN ROLFE, SUPPORTER
“As coaches, our relationship with our student-athletes carries great influence and great responsibility. Continued professional development as it is provided by Nashville Coaching Coalition is essential in being our best for the young people with whom we work.”
–ELAINE M ANTON-LOTRUGLIO, HEAD COACH, BARD COLLEGE
RECOVERING THE HEART OF YOUTH THROUGH SPORTS
The belief and commitment of our supporters and coaches makes this work possible.
